The Magic Sunflower Garden — a free Class 2 measuring game
The Magic Sunflower Garden is a free maths game your child can play right now in the browser. The goal is simple and satisfying: grow a sunflower to exactly the right height, measured in centimetres, by reading a ruler and planning your steps.
What the game teaches
Every round asks your child to reach a target height in centimetres using two kinds of growth — Water adds 3 cm and Sun adds 2 cm. To land on the target exactly, they have to read the ruler, count the little lines, and plan which steps to take. It is measuring, addition and a little forward planning, all wrapped in watching a plant bloom.

Who it's for and how long it takes
The game is built for Class 2 children, roughly ages 6 to 8. There are three gardens to grow, and the whole thing takes about five minutes — short enough to finish in one happy sitting, and easy to play again.
What a parent will see
You'll see your child measuring with real intent — counting lines on a ruler, choosing Water or Sun, and self-correcting when they overshoot. Riya guides each step, and there is a friendly face waiting at the top of a fully grown sunflower. There are no scores to chase and no timer bearing down; the reward is the bloom.
How it connects to the Class 2 course
The Sunflower Garden comes from World 5 of the Talyzo course, which covers length — measuring and comparing in centimetres and metres. The full course wraps this same measuring practice inside a longer story, with a hint before every answer and an explanation after.
