Talyzo is a story-driven maths learning experience built for young children in Class 2 — and for the parents who want them to grow up unafraid of a hard problem.
We started Talyzo with one belief: most children don't dislike maths — they dislike feeling stuck and judged. A single “wrong answer” with no help can quietly teach a child that maths is scary. We wanted to flip that. On Talyzo, every question comes with a hint and a clear explanation, so a child is never left stuck — they're shown how to think.
Who's behind Talyzo
Talyzo is built by Khushboo Agarwal. She has taught primary school children for seven years, and has spent much of that time teaching maths to young children outside the classroom too — not because she had to, but because she enjoys it.
Seven years in a primary classroom teaches you something specific. Class 2 maths isn't hard because the numbers are hard. It's hard because a child who gets one question wrong and hears “no, next” quietly decides they're bad at maths — and by Class 4, they believe it.
Talyzo is what she wanted to hand those children instead. Every question has a hint before the answer and a full explanation after it, so being stuck is never where it ends.
Every question is mapped to the Class 2 syllabus for all six exams Talyzo covers — SOF IMO, CREST CMO, AMO, FISO, WMC and ISTSE.
